Full-Time Nanny with Heavy Travel: $60K+, Benefits, Living Provided

Tampa, FL Full Time

Family with main residence in Tampa, Florida with 1.5 year old child and baby due in December is seeking a professional, experienced and educated Full-Time Nanny. The schedule will be split between two full-time nannies. Nanny should expect to work approximately 40 hours per week on five days per week (flexible to work varying combinations of days including majority weekday evenings and weekends). Nanny must be willing to spend majority of summer months in Chicago. Extreme flexibility is required for the position. Candidates must be comfortable working with a small dog. Candidates are required to have many years of full-time nanny experience (ideal candidate has experience working in Ultra High Net Worth residence(s)), experienced working collaboratively with domestic staff, passion for education and child development, active and enjoy being outdoors (e.g., swimming, skiing, hiking, etc.), extreme interest in heavy travel, assertive, proactive, resourceful, self starter, organized, detail oriented, hard working, service focused, kind, professional, ability to multi-task and wear many hats, respectful and capable of maintaining discretion. Family has many domestic and international residences (e.g., Florida, Chicago, Europe, etc.). Start date is March or April 2018, but flexible for the right candidate.


• Experienced working with similar aged children (newborns, toddlers, preschool, etc.)

• Experienced working with at least two+ children in a nanny position

• Newborn experience and knowledgeable about routines, sleep training, reading and communicating to baby as often as possible, etc.

• Willing to transport children to and from scheduled activities, play dates, outings, etc.

• Experienced with meal planning and preparing fresh and healthy meals for children that introduces them to new foods (pureed baby food for infant when age appropriate)

• Willing to pack healthy lunches and prepare school bags for the next day (when age appropriate)

• Experienced with play-based learning and creating educational activities (e.g., planned engaging activities at home, developmentally appropriate games and activities, engaging projects and crafts, themed weeks, scheduled outings, etc.)

• Willing to assist children with homework and school projects (when age appropriate)

• Support teaching and reinforcement of manners and other social skills

• Provide developmentally appropriate games and activities, engaging projects and crafts at home and schedule/plan fun outings and events

• Responsible for domestic duties relating to children (e.g., stocking diapers/wipes/etc., washing bottles, washing dishes after meals, children’s laundry, tidying playroom and bedrooms, etc.)

• Responsible for organizational projects relating to children (e.g., changing clothing seasonally, rotating books and toys quarterly or bi-annually, taking toys and clothing to donation, etc.)

• Responsible for packing children for trips, researching/planning activities at destination and ensuring appropriate gear is available at hotel or residence

• Diligent team player and experienced working collaboratively with other domestic staff and Principals that are around often

• Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Early Childhood Development is most ideal, but bachelor’s degree is required

• 5-10+ years of full-time consistent and recent nanny experience (minimal families in long term positions required)

• 3-4 references from professional positions

• Seeking longevity (e.g., 2-5+ year commitment)

• Ability to complete extensive background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug tests and psychological evaluation

• Driver’s license and clean driving record

• CPR certification

• Vaccinations (e.g., TDap, MMR, Flu shot)


• $60K+ gross salary (based on experience and qualifications)
