Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant for Infant Twins and Toddler: $70K+ and Benefits

Family living in the Gold Coast of Chicago with toddler and infant twins is seeking a professional, experienced and educated Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant. The schedule is on Monday – Friday at 11:00am – 8:00pm, guaranteed 45 hours per week. Later evenings and occasional weekends are occasionally required. The position requires extreme flexibility as family’s schedule changes at various times in the year (e.g., summer, school holidays, travel, etc.). Weekends, winter and summer vacations may be spent at other residences in Michigan and Florida. International travel may be required for position. Safe vehicle for transportation is not required, as family has staff vehicle. Candidates must be comfortable working with a small dog. Applicants need to be honest, trustworthy, resourceful, understand the importance of maintaining discretion (confidentiality agreement is required), willing to make a long term commitment (e.g., 2-5+ years), collaborative and experienced working with other domestic staff and experienced working with stay-at-home mom and Principals that work in residence often (discreet and staying out of the way is important). Due to minimal parking in the Gold Coast neighborhood, it is most ideal for nanny to use public transportation to get to and from work daily. Start date is ASAP, but flexible for the right candidate.


• Nanny experience with twins or at least two+ children that were very close in age

• Experienced working with infants and toddlers with knowledge of setting routines, sleep training, physical and cognitive development

• Willing to transport children to and from scheduled activities, sports, play dates, outings, school, etc.

• Willing to pack healthy lunches and prepare school bags for the next day

• Experienced with play-based learning and creating educational activities (e.g., planned engaging activities at home, developmentally appropriate games and activities, engaging projects and crafts, themed weeks, scheduled outings, etc.)

• Support teaching and reinforcement of manners and other social skills

• Provide developmentally appropriate games and activities, engaging projects and crafts at home and schedule/plan fun outings and events

• Responsible for domestic duties relating to children (e.g., washing dishes after meals, tidying playroom and bedroom, assistance with children’s laundry, packing children for trips, etc.)

• Responsible for organizational projects relating to children (e.g., taking toys and clothing to donation, rotating children’s clothes seasonally, rotating books and toys quarterly or bi-annually, etc.)

• Responsible for packing children for trips, researching/planning activities at destination and ensuring appropriate gear is available other residence, hotel or resort

• Diligent team player and willing to work collaboratively with other domestic staff and Principals

• Experienced and willing to be an extension of the parents collaborating and communicating frequently (previous experience working with Principals that are around residence is ideal)

• Experienced assisting with dog (e.g., letting them out, taking on walk, feeding, dropping at vet or groomer, etc.)

• Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Early Childhood Development is most ideal, but bachelor’s degree is required

• Passionate about education, child development, etc.

• 3-5+ years of full-time consistent and recent nanny experience (ideal candidate has worked with twins and at least three+ children in nanny position)

• 3-4 references from professional positions

• Seeking longevity (e.g., 2-5+ year commitment)

• Live a close proximity to the family’s residence in Gold Coast of Chicago

• Ability to swim and snow ski

• Ability to complete extensive background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug tests and psychological evaluation

• Driver’s license and clean driving record

• CPR and First Aid certification

• Vaccinations (e.g., TDap, MMR, Flu shot)

• Comfortable with small dog


• $70K+ gross annual salary

• $25 per hour (overtime hours over 45 hours per week)

• $100 per overnight while traveling or working overnights at family’s residences

• Health insurance

• Two weeks (10 days) vacation paid

• Discretionary annual bonus and raise (performance evaluation required)
