Two Full-Time Outdoor Housekeepers: $60K+ and Benefits

Family living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking two experienced, organized and detail oriented Full-Time Outdoor Housekeepers. The Outdoor Housekeepers are responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the homes exterior space including but not limited to outdoor furniture, cushions, playground equipment, gathering areas, patios, grills, windows, games and activities. These positions will also include some interior housekeeping related responsibilities. There are two schedules, which are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday at 7:00am – 7:00pm and Wednesday at 7:00am – 11:00am AND/OR Wednesday at 3:00pm – 7:00pm and Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 7:00am – 7:00pm. Housekeeper is required to work additional days and varying hours occasionally. Flexibility with hours and scheduling is required. The ability to work around the family’s schedule while at the same time cleaning and organizing in an efficient manner is important. Candidates must be comfortable working around children and small dog. Applicants need to be honest, trustworthy, understand the importance of maintaining discretion, collaborative and experienced working with other domestic staff and family office, experienced working with Principals that are at residences often (discreet and staying out of the way is important), adept at organizing and general cleaning, knowledgeable with cleaning various surfaces and artwork, experienced assisting with entertaining at family’s residences, skilled with laundry and proficient with ironing. Candidates with many years of private full-time housekeeper experience working in large square footage residence is required. Uniform is provided and required. Start date is ASAP, but flexible for the right candidate. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Clean specific to Housekeeping Manager’s suggested methods and schedules 

• Thorough disinfecting and cleaning of tables, chairs, gazebos, cushions, walkways, windows, dining areas, pool decks, playground equipment, grills, bicycles, pool toys and games, etc. using organic, natural and eco-friendly products 

• Cover and uncover outdoor furniture specific to Housekeeping Manager’s schedule and inclement weather

• Ensure walkways and outdoor areas are tidy, organized and safe at all times 

• Stock, collect and replenish pool towels and other related outdoor amenities 

• Launder pool towels and related items 

• Maintain inventory of furniture, equipment, bicycles, pool towels, games and the like 

• Assist with special events, outsourced staff and outdoor activities including setup and breakdown before, during and after events 

• Perform general housekeeping tasks in the interior of at least one home 

• Assist Food and Beverage Department in last minute relocation of meal service as needed 

• Assist Housekeeping Department as needed 

• Report need for major contractor cleaning such as power washing or pressure treating to Housekeeping Manager

• Report maintenance and landscape issues to the Groundskeeping and Maintenance Managers 

• Run errands as necessary 

• Follow and memorize daily changes in procedure when made 

• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned 

• Ensure that all equipment, furniture and furnishings are maintained, checked and kept in good working order in accordance with correct procedures and report all relevant faults to Housekeeping Manager, Maintenance Crew, Groundskeeping Crew and/or Estate Manager 

• Ensure that special requests from Principals and guests are carried out in a timely, courteous and cost effective manner 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understand the importance of maintaining discretion (confidentiality agreement is required) 

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos along with ability to write simple correspondence

• Technology proficient and comfortable with computers (e. g., email and text messages for communication, search engines for choosing resources, etc.)

• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend

• Professional with good attitude, hard working and pleasant to be around 

• High energy level

• Active and fit 

• Discreet and calm demeanor 

• Non-smoker

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-5+ years of full-time housekeeper experience with one consistent family 

• Minimum of two-three references

• Eligible to work in the United States

• Seeking longevity (e.g., 2-5+ year commitment) 

• Fluent in English 

• Driver’s license and clean driving record

• Willing to run extensive background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug tests and psychological evaluation

• Comfortable with small dog 

COMPENSATION: 

• $60K+ gross annual salary (based on background and experience) 

• Health insurance (provided after 90 days)
